Flora
Dennis (BA, PhD) is Research Fellow at the Centre. She studied and taught
at Cambridge University, where her doctoral research centred on the relationship
between music, printing and the court of Ferrara during the sixteenth-century.
Her current research is concerned with the consumption of music
books and amateur, domestic music-making in this period. In addition to
having published on music at the Ferrarese court, she is a member of the
editorial advisory board of the Journal for the Society of Renaissance
Studies. She has also written and broadcast on Italian Futurist music
and musicians. She is contributing to the Focus Study and related exhibition,
The Domestic Interior in Italy, 1400-1600. <<back |
